What does he mean salt belt rust belt?

Is there a complete timing kit you recommend to buy. I was looking for the chain,rollers, cam phasers, tensioners etc.

I switched to royal purple on my last f150 purchase. It is at 220,000 miles and I change my oil myself, at 80 percent oil life, like I always have. My previous f150s never topped 150,000 miles - same diligent changes at 80 percent oil life, but i used whatever oil was on sale at the time and did not think twice about it. Obviously there could be a number of reasons unrelated to royal purple, but at 220,000 miles, I still cannot hear it running at idle.

My 2014 F-150 has a Nine Foot Timing Chain when it Failed at 94k miles when WE were 1777 miles away from home! It cost me $9407. From the Dealership to Change this on my Vehicle!

Can’t get that bottom bolt out at all. Tried an 18: fail. Tried the wrench and 8mm method with an extra set of hands… fail. Talk about living in the rust belt. Think I’m just gonna cut the damn thing off. Gotta replace it anyway.

I have gone a different direction for both my 2009 Escape and 2011 Focus. I have added a push button jumping the Start pins on the wiring harness on the left side of the steering wheel column. @5:11 the numbers are upside down for the connector "3370" and plugs into the ignition switch. A momentary push button switch connected by back feeding the RUN and START positions is what is desired. The models are computer controlled start. You will still use the key as normal except for turning to START. Turn key to RUN and push the new Start button. Way cheaper. Replacing the Starter Switch is going to fail sooner than replacing the entire Starter Switch Assembly, but that is still the same design and prone to the same failure.

I have a 2017 3.5 EcoBoost with 58k, change my oil between 3-3.5k miles. Runs fine now. Is this a given for these engines even with really good maintenance ?

Hi, 2010 f150 4.6. I replaced all the timing components, I used a dorman kit comes with phasers, replaced vct solenoids ford part. I am still getting a camshaft performance both Both banks vct error is fluctuating- 1.4 and - 1.2. I didn’t torque the phaser bolts wondering if that’s vital and can be causing this

I have a rattle from the AC for 2-3 seconds on AC startup. 2015 F150 - replaced belts and tensioners noise went away for a day or so and came back slowly. Could it be the AC clutch isolators?

Does anybody know how much in relation you loose refrigerant in the hoses only when you want to test the pressures...

help please i have a 2018 f150 3.5 ecoboost i bought it when it had 35k miles and now it has 60k miles i am doing a transmission fluid and filter change exactly what you do in this video my question is it a good idea to completely change the transmission fluid which is 13 quart or is the 6 or 7 quart that fits in the transmission pan enough?

Hi, love your videos! I have a 2015 F150 that I have owned since new. It now has 140k miles. 2 weeks ago my AC clutch stopped cycling. I have 100psi static, KOEO enables clutch, forscan shows all sensors, hvac controls and transducer are seem to be operating and reading as they should. Im sort of at a loss here. I must be missing a sensor im not monitoring? Dealership wants $200 for AC diagnostic, and Im getting close to biting the bullet. Any suggestions before I do so? I replaced my TXV about 2yrs ago with OEM motorcraft part (high speed fans on). Had local dealer evac and refill.

After done paying it off it’ll be a 130k I spent. I had it for one year now and spend about 5 grand on a mechanic and not only that I drove it for 1500 miles only. Ill be replacing the sway bar links, and might as well replace the shocks and struts and brakes while ive got the car on stands and the tire off.

did you ever consider using a "y" connection where your barb was installed? having another separate vent installed with the vent next to your fill tube should aid filling.....think of household plumbing, the air can't escape the way you;re doing it

One more thing this guy works his butt off to provide these videos which is not an easy job making them if you have anything bad to say you should just keep it to yourself. Don't see the ones there are complaining making their own videos so if you can't say good things don't say anything at all
